Abstract
Rural landscape belongs to the category of organically evolved landscape within cultural landscapes, fully embodying the nature-culture relevance. Within the context and framework of World Heritage, the concept of Natureculture fully reflects this characteristic and is manifested in rural landscapes. This study categorizes the natural and cultural symbols within rural landscapes and integrates them into Associative Cultural Landscape methodology (ACL), yielding nine application scenes. These application scenes are used to interpret the nature-culture relevance in rural landscapes, providing an interpretive framework for subsequent discussions on thematic significance and complex cultural landscape scenes.
